Pengantar

Ekstrak zat berada dalam tubuh tumbuhan merupakan aktivitas mengkonsentrasikan senyawa tertentu. Usaha mengekstrak zat melibatkan metode dan uji apakah secara kualitatif dan/atau kuantitatif dapat dieksplorasi, direlasikan dengan aktivitas tubuh lainnya, tetapi membutuhkan langkah proses relatif panjang dalam pemanfaatannya. Pada level studi, perhatian terhadap hasil metabolisme bagian penyusun tubuh tumbuhan diangkat ke permukaan dan masih banyak keterbatasan. Kebalikan usaha mengkonsentrasikan zat dari bagian yang diambil dari tubuh adalah pemberian nutrisi bagi tubuh. Macam tubuh makhluk hidup dari mikroskopis hingga dapat dilihat oleh mata telanjang dihadirkan pada terbitan ini (Extracts of substances in the plant body are activities that concentrate certain compounds.
