Studi In Vitro Potensi Anti Inflamasi Ekstrak Etanol, Etil Asetat, Dekokta Dan Infusa Rambut Jagung (Zea Mays)

Rambut jagung merupakan bagian dari tanaman jagung yang tidak dimanfaatkan dengan baik, padahal rambut jagung mengandung flavonoid, alkaloid, fenolik, terpenoid dan saponin yang memiliki potensi sebagai anti inflamasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi anti inflamasi dari ekstrak rambut jagung dengan menggunakan beberapa pelarut. Potensi anti inflamasi ekstrak rambut jagung ditentukan menggunakan metode pengujian denaturasi protein dengan Bovine Serum Albumin. Konsentrasi ekstrak rambut jagung (ekstrak etil asetat, etanol, infusa, dekokta) dan natrium diklofenac yang digunakan adalah 50ppm, 100ppm, 200 ppm, 400ppm, dan 800ppm. Ekstrak etanol, etil asetat, infusa dan dekokta rambut jagung pada semua konsentrasi memiliki persen inhibisi inflamasi yang lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol positif natrium diklofenak. Nilai IC50 natrium diklofenac sebesar 64,72μg/mL, Sedangkan infusa, ekstrak etil asetat dan dekokta rambut jagung memiliki nilai IC50 lebih baik dibandingkan natrium diklofenac berturut turut 10,5 μg/mL, 10,02μg/mL, 21,04μg/mL. Ekstrak rambut jagung dapat dipertimbangkan menjadi agen anti inflamasi dari bahan alam
