Abstract

Air quality is influenced by the diversity of bioaerosol in the circulation system in a room. Bacteria can have a positive effect on human life, but can also have a negative effect. The negative effects caused by bacteria are mostly due to contamination from pathogenic bacteria. Pathogenic bacteria in the air include; Salmonella sp, Staphylococcus aureus, Eschericia coli, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Shigella sp, and Clostridium sp. Pasar Modern Dinoyo Terpadu Blok C is a part of the market which is crowded with visitors, where it sells wet food ingredients such as various types of fish, meat, etc. The condition of the building is classified as good, but the sanitation activities at that time are still not well maintained. The purpose of this study was to determine the pathogenic microorganisms in the air of the Dinoyo Terpadu Modern Market Malang and to determine the differences in the diversity index of microorganism colonies from the three observations made. The research method used survey and descriptive methods by conducting analysis in the laboratory. Colony counter colony count. The calculation of the bacterial colony diversity index using the calculation formula by Shannon-Wiener. The results of the identification of pathogenic bacteria in the air are colonies of cultured bacteria that have characteristics similar to pathogenic bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Eschericia coli, and Shigella sp.The calculation of the diversity index for the three observations made was not different because the three index values H '<1, which means that the diversity index at that place was low. This can be affected by the air ventilation conditions in the place as well as the temperature and humidity conditions in the sampling area.
