Kajian Potensi Wisata dan Persepsi Wisatawan terhadap Pengembangan Wisata di Hutan Kera Nepa Desa Batioh, Banyuates Sampang Study of Tourism Potential and Tourist Perception toward Tourism Development in Kera Nepa Forest in Batioh Village of Banyuates Sampang

Abstract
The aim of research is to know the tourism potential and the perception of tourists toward Kera Nepa forest in Batioh village of Banyuates district of Sampang Regency. This research use descriptive method, technical survey, and was conducted to observe the potential of tourism and questionnaires to determine the perception of tourists and using strategy of SWOT analysis. The Kera Nepa forest there are potential of plants, unique animals and natural potential. The perception of tourists about the Kera Nepa forest has beautiful panorama, cool, still original and the monkey population is reduced due to the number of tourists visiting with the highest value of 2.93 (high category). The perception of tourism development with the principle of ecotourism is the lowest value of 2.43 (medium category). SWOT analysis on strategy result 13 formulation that is optimizing ODTWA, cooperation with stakeholders, community empowerment, intensive promotion, attractive tourism product, improvement of investment climate, cooperation in tourism area security, motivating society in making home industry, surveillance to visitor, memorial to visitors not to disturb the long-tailed monkey habitat, innovate in the packaging of tourism products, the development of eco-tourism potential, provide guidance of public to the importance of tourism area.

ABSTRAK
Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui potensi wisata dan persepsi wisatawan tentang kawasan wisata Hutan Kera Nepa Desa Batioh Kecamatan Banyuates Kabupaten Sampang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif teknik survei yaitu observasi untuk mengetahui potensi wisata dan kuesioner persepsi wisatawan terhadap kawasan wisata serta menggunakan analisis strategi yaitu analisis SWOT. Pada kawasan Hutan Kera Nepa terdapat potensi tumbuhan, satwa unik dan potensi alam. Persepsi wisatawan tentang Hutan Kera Nepa mempunyai panorama indah, sejuk, masih asli dan populasi monyet berkurang akibat banyaknya wisatawan yang berkunjung mempunyai nilai tertinggi yaitu 2,93 (kategori tinggi). Persepsi tentang pengembangan wisata dengan prinsip ekowisata dengan nilai terendah yaitu 2,43 (kategori sedang). Analisis SWOT tentang strategi menghasilkan 13 rumusan yaitu mengoptimalkan ODTWA, kerjasama dengan stakeholders, pemberdayaan masyarakat, promosi secara intensif, produk wisata menarik, peningkatan iklim investasi, bekerjasama dalam keamanan kawasan wisata, motivasi dalam pembuatan industri rumah tangga, pengawasan terhadap pengunjung, peringatan terhadap pengunjung untuk tidak mengganggu habitat monyet ekor panjang, berinovasi dalam pengemasan produk wisata, pengembangan potensi obyek wisata ramah lingkungan, pembinaan masyarakat pentingnya keberadan kawasan wisata.
