Abstract
Crocidolomia pavonana known as a very greedy group of pests and can damage the entire leaf in cabbage plants. Using the synthetic pesticides in Indonesia has destroyed various types of pets and also some of the biological control agents. The alternative is to use natural materials for pesticide of vegetable such as mahogany and garlic. The purpose of this research i, first, to know the influence of juice of mahogany seed (Swietenia sp), garlic skin (Allium sativum) and its combination at various concentration to control caterpillar pest (Crocidolomia pavonana). Second, it is to know the abiotic factor that can affect mortality of caterpillar (Crocidolomia pavonana). By using experimental method Randomized Block Design has four concentrations combination of juice of mahogany seed and garlic skin that is 0%, 6%, 8% and 10%. Each concentration was repeated three times and each replicate was ten caterpillars (Crocidolomia pavonana). Combination of juice of mahogany seed (Swietenia sp) and garlic skin (Allium sativum) have an effect on mortality of caterpillar (Crocidolomia pavonana). Temperature is an abiotic factor that can affect the mortality of caterpillar.

ABSTRAK
Crocidolomia pavonana dikenal sebagai hama secara berkelompok yang sangat rakus dan dapat merusak seluruh daun pada tanaman kubis. Penggunaan pestisida sintetis di Indonesia diketahui telah memusnahkan berbagai jenis hama dan juga sebagian agen pengendali hayati. Alternatif yang dilakukan adalah dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan alam sebagai pestisida nabati seperti biji mahoni dan bawang putih. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pertama, untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi air perasan biji mahoni (Swietenia sp) dan kulit bawang putih (Allium sativum) terhadap hama ulat krop (Crocidolomia pavonana). Kedua, mengetahui faktor abiotik yang dapat mempengaruhi mortalitas ulat krop (Crocidolomia pavonana). Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan yaitu kombinasi air perasan biji mahoni dan kulit bawang putih dengan empat konsentrasi, yaitu 0%, 6%, 8% dan 10%. Setiap konsentrasi diulang sebanyak tiga kali dan setiap ulangan tersebut terdapat sepuluh ekor ulat krop (Crocidolomia pavonana). Kombinasi dari air perasan biji mahoni (Swietenia sp) dan kulit bawang putih (Allium sativum) ternyata memiliki pengaruh secara nyata terhadap mortalitas ulat krop (Crocidolomia pavonana). Suhu adalah faktor abiotik yang dapat mempengaruhi mortalitas ulat krop.
